Criterion has announced Terry Gilliam's The Adventures of Baron Munchausen for a blu ray (and 4K UHD) release, coming in January 2023.

This was in one of SPHE's UHD surveys from a few years ago.. could something like Muppets Take Manhattan potentially be licensed out to Criterion?

If Frank Oz/The Muppets got into the Criterion Collection, I wouldn’t know what to do with myself, and I mean that in a good way. Now I’ll be imagining a Henson Muppet Trilogy box all day.

I wonder if this will have similar packaging to their Three Fantastic Journeys release. It looks quite similar.

Granted my copy of that release arrived smashed but the pop-up effects are fun.

My favorite Gilliam flick. I watched this on shrooms once and it was incredible, the 4K is going to be a dream come true

Gigantic surprise, I bet this 4K will do the film's visuals total justice. Probably the most hyped of this January batch.

The standard bd is $17.55 on Amazon right now. Too bad the 4k isn't discounted below 50% as well.

Fantastic pre-order price for those who only want the Blu-ray. Hoping the 4K will drop to a similiar price point as we saw with Wall*e.

You would see even more of her if Criterion actually gave us the European cut as they did with the LaserDisc.
