Default Where do you guys sell your blu rays?

I read here all the time that someone will sell their blu ray set for a 4k set, or sell a blu ray because the new one coming out has an extra feature that the last one didn't. So where do they sell their movies? I mean if you sell it at a bookstore or something, you'll be lucky to get a dollar back.

This forum has a trading section that I always use. Works great. Then, eBay is OK too I suppose. But I use blu-ray.com trading forums.

Any Blu-rays that I want to unload, I donate them to a local animal shelter's thrift store. Same with DVDs.

Haven't sold a whole lot of Blu-rays, but when I do (along with DVDs and CDs) I wait until I have a decent amount built up to get rid of and then sell them at the local Rasputin Music. Depending on how many I have I can get pretty decent amount of cash in return.

I sell it on eBay. I'm experienced enough at selling to know what has value and will sell strongly and what won't. Selling at bookstores, pawn shops, trade-in places, etc. is a waste. They are a good place to dump off your unwanted mainstream studio crap that you can already buy brand new for peanuts, but those places will absolutely rip you off when it comes to boutique titles and then turn around and sell them for a huge mark-up.

I generally use eBay, but I'm thinking the Pandemic has been bringing out the wackos this year. I've been using the site for over a decade with zero issues, but suddenly I've been hit by scammers three times this year and I'm being constantly messaged by hagglers asking for unreasonable prices and getting upset when I decline.

Amoeba in Hollywood or a local gaming store. The game store gives way better prices but are super picky and if the light hits a disc wrong, its SCRATCHED.

CEX in the UK, it's depressing sometimes how little I get for old blu-rays that I spent good money on.

Makes me pause on getting 4k's so soon after release

So I was thinking of e-bay. That sounds like a good idea. How much do they take for selling items?

If you have blus with slipcovers, sell on Ebay/Mercari. The really common stuff won't go for much online, sadly.

Same thing on Mercari.

It's either:
1) Buyers who try to lowball not knowing after shipping and ebay/mercari fees we hardly get anything???

2) Sellers who flood the market trying to sell Dollar Tree blurays and DVDs for $10+

I just trade-in for cash at EagleSaver.com. I'm sure one can do better selling on eBay, but I'm too lazy to want to learn the system to do it.

I had an item that was selling for $100 and someone messaged me offering $20.

The block buyer/bidder option is really terrific.

I once was selling The Sopranos complete series on Facebook and some guy messaged me with a sob story about how poor he was and wanted to share culture with his kids and I should give him the code for free. I ignored him and then he wrote a snarky message about how I was being a jerk and then I blocked him.

People shouldn't have kids if they don't have the money for them

Right? Some people take this all way too seriously.
