Default Help me choose a new internal disc drive!
The DVD/CD drive on my Dell PC just kicked the bucket, so I need a replacement. Is there a specific brand I should stay away from? What are some good brands to consider?

Also, should I get a BD/DVD/CD drive instead? My current monitor can only handle 1600x1240 resolution and I have no intention of changing it. My question therefore is, could I even watch a BD with that monitor? Also, it's not HDCP compliant.

I only use my drive for uploading CD/Hybrid SACD's, and I'll sometimes watch a DVD concert or movie.
