France Elles

Elles Blu-ray PRE-ORDER

NEWS/TRAILER:
https://www.blu-ray.com/news/?id=8461

Quote:
French distributors Potemkine have revealed that they are preparing a Blu-ray release of Polish-born French director Malgorzata Szumowska's Elles (2011), starring Juliette Binoche, Anaïs Demoustier, Joanna Kulig, and Andrzej Chyra. Last year, the film had its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. The preliminary release date set by Potemkine is June 5th.

Elles tells the story of a Paris-based middle-class investigative journalist (Binoche) working on a magazine article about student prostitutes.

Note: In the UK, the film opens theatrically on April 20th. Distributed by Artificial Eye.

Hey Pro-B,

Any info if this will be English friendly?

If not, at least the bonus is hopefully Artificial Eye will release it in the UK.

In the U.S., Kino Lorber is handling this, and for some inexplicable reason, they submitted it for an MPAA rating, in spite of the fact that they had to know it would come back NC-17.

It will be out April 27th in limited release.

This film is sold in a lot of territories. Obviously, I don't expect to see English subtitles.

Yes, Artificial Eye is the company to keep an eye on. I cannot imagine a scenario where they would not want to release it on Blu-ray

Thanks for this information as well McCrutchy!

If either Kino or AE release this, I'm sure I'll be happy.
