Default Ken Burns “The War” Blu-ray. Recommended?

So, the past couple of years we’ve seen new Blu-ray releases of some Ken Burns’ documentaries. The War originally was released on Blu-ray in 2012 which was 10 years ago. How does it hold up to the new Ken Burns’ Blu-ray releases? Is it begging for a new release? Can we expect one in the near future? I’m considering getting it but I’d like to know some thoughts on it. I tried searching some threads but this it isn’t a search engine friendly title.

If you want, the existing one is the only option. Extremely unlikely that would be released in some new form. I'm not sure I understand what the reasoning would be.

Anyone here got any experience with the Australian Blu-ray? Does the 1080i encoding make a notable difference, or is it still watchable?
