Sony just announced it will be releasing Groundhog Day on 1/27/09

Out of curiosity where do you guys always find these announcement from Sony and Fox before the blu-ray sites report?

Love it, buy it day one.

There is no way this winter is ever going to end, as long as this groundhog keeps seeing his shadow. I don't see any other way out. He's got to be stopped. And I have to stop him.

Great News! Do you know if it is the Special Edition that came out a few years ago?

I will definitely be picking this up. One of my many favorite Bill Murray movies.

To bad Feb. 2, 09 isn't on a Tuesday then they could hold off a week and release it on Groundhog Day...

I love the part in the movie where the groundhog is behind the wheel. He probably drives better than most of the drivers around here.

Definite buy for me (already have the DVD), but this is one of my favorite movies. I watch it every Groundhog day, but with the release so close to Feb 2 I will either have to buy it locally or watch the DVD one last time in 2009

I do not know if its the special edition or not - it was literally just listed last night so specs probably won't be here for a little bit.
