Default The Original Transformers G1 On Blu ray.

I dont know about anyone but being that I am a huge TF fan I would love to see the classic cartoons on Blu ray. I wonder if and when that will ever happen? If it does I will be first in line to grab them. Theres one thing I never understood about the movies and thats why, with all the CGI technology at their disposal, the creators and producers never made the Autobots and Decepticons look like the G1 charachters? Not that I do not like the way they look in the movies because I do but I would have rather have had them go with the original look of the TF fo the 80's. But oh well thats just me but Prime looking as he did in the cartoons, CGI of course would have been very cool.

Well the Original 1986 Movie was released in the UK awile back on blu-ray. It is region free and plays just fine on US players. its a bit pricy now because i think its OOP but can still be found on Amazon.co.uk or probably ebay you might find a used copy for a resonable price. Judging by this blu-ray and my DVD copies I don't think we will see the actual series on Blu-ray anytime soon. the anamation and masters just wouldn't hold up (its quite a mess actually) but very entertaining. I think there is a recent DVD rerelease still floating around post shout factory that is better then the original releases but there is no way they will look any better then they do on the DVD (heck its not much better then my old VHS copies) sorry to say.

Thanks,
T
