Yeah, that's pretty absurd.
Maybe it's just because swamp gas from a weather balloon was trapped in a thermal pocket and reflected the light from Venus.

Yes it is a stupid decision on Lucas' part but this really didn't warrant a thread.

yeah, probably doesn't deserve it's own threat but, seriously George is Delusional. at this point I think the poor guy deserves a strait Jacket because he's certainly lost touch with reality.

When you consider this is being talked about in the Star Wars thread, the Lucas thread, the Episode 1 3D thread, even in the Indiana Jones thread was it really needed to make another thread about it? Pretty soon this Lucas bashing will start to appear in the Criterion thread Give it a rest guys!

I guess people will still be bashing Lucas and moaning about the changes and the prequels long after we're dead.

Yes the dark side has twisted their minds until now they have become the very thing they hate. If you strike them down they will become more powerful than we can possibly imagine since their hatred will love on.

I can't believe he is comparing his changing Star Wars to the changes in Blade Runner now!

well I would close this thread, but I don't see the box to do so that I've seen on other forums under the editing feature.

Maybe Indy 5 should be about how misunderstood Indiana Jones feels after all these years and he spends most of his time in Arab retirement homes telling the old timers that he didn't shoot the swordsmen first, it was just a wideshot.

And well they should, for Lucas deserves it. He's starting to sound like a character from an Orwell novel. I guess he thinks if he repeats the lie enough times people will assume it's the truth.

I think the people who try and defend George are missing the point; no one cares how many changes he makes, he can do what he wants with the movie, BUT, and this gets to the heart of the issue, he should give us a choice of which version to watch, including the original theatrical cut; that's all we want, after that, George can do whatever he wants.
