My new car (inherited from my wife) smells like butt (not literally).
Pretty sure it's from kid puke, spilled milk, and whatever naturally occured in there. Do you have a go-to air freshener/deodorizer for the home, closets, cars, work, etc.? |

You might want to do a full interior detail when you get a chance. I recently bought a USB Air Purifier & Ioniser from Amazon and plug it in my car when I drive. At home I use a Honeywell air purifier which I can't live without it.
![]() I was thinking about a small air purifier for my cube at work, but I'm afraid someone would steal it so I just use the USB one for now. |

When I had my Accord with cloth interior, I always thought Febrese did a great job getting out any odors. I used the Pet version, because I hated the smell of my car after my dogs were in it (although I miss them and have been pining for a German Shepard... ).
Our current dog has not left any odors in my new Pilot which has leather interior. ![]() The detailing is also a good start. I always get my vehicle professionally detailed every April (right after winter). |

X-O Odor Neutralizer to start with. Use a 1:8 oz mixture, which is roughly double the recommended dilution. Mist over all the fabric parts and carpeting and wipe down any of the lesser porous surfaces.
After that dries, sprinkle some baking soda into the carpeting and on the seats, and vacuum after appx. a half-hour. If you have access to an ozone machine, run it in the closed car for a day. |

If you just want to mask the odor until you can do a full detail... Blunt Power is extremely powerful stuff. I think it's most popular use is masking the smell of marijuana in one's car... hence the name. Around here it can be picked up in almost any gas/convenience store for a buck or two.
