When this film was first announced like three years ago, in 2008, it was like; "Oh, Adam Sandler is ripping off Kevin Smith's Zack and Miri." The working title was like Porn to be Star. I was interested in it for the time that it was being worked on but then I saw the trailer and the whole shtick with Nick Swardson and it totally killed all interest that I had for this.

Kevin Smith didn't make the first movie about porn... If anything Boogie Nights and The Girl Next Door opened the proverbial door for Smith. So I wouldn't call it ripping off anything.

As someone who has worked in that industry before, it does, however, look unwatchable. Although Don Johnson as a porn director is pretty inspirational casting.

I've always thought Nick Swardson was funny, especially in Reno! 911, but this just looks awful.

Grandma's Boy is one of my favorite comedies of recent years....but Bucky looks like it'll be really sucky.

I think it looks awful... and I love to see it bomb... but I think a lot of us said the same thing about Napoleon Dynamite, and look what happened to that... just sayin'.

I like Nick Swardson, so I am a little curious about this movie, but it's not looking particularly great either.

The problem is that the commercials really aren't telling us anything about the movie, itself. It's just that really annoying guy yelling at us to go see the movie 80% of the time.

Well while I am slightly more optimistic about this movie than most other people in this thread, this hardly looks like the same kind of movie as Napolean Dynamite. Yeah, the trailers for Napolean were a little weird and I wasn't sure what to make of them, but they didn't look that bad.

Besides, there are times were the trailers look awful and the movie completely follows suit.... i.e. The Love Guru.
