Default Indiana Jones Blu-ray at Amazon

I know the whole HD-DVD exclusivity with Paramount and the Spielberg clause however I found this to be funny. I was doing a search on Amazon and came across a listing for the Indiana Jones HD-DVD but not the Blu-ray however look closely at the "Format" category.

http://www.amazon.com/Adventures-Indiana-Jones-Complete-Collection/dp/B000NQREA0/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/104-4944984-3738327?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1190866220&sr=8-1

EDIT: I am only bringing this up as i find it humorous that it lists the format as "Blu-ray". I am also on some prescription pain killers so that is probably affecting my judgement.

More likely a typographical error.
Let the World feel the Blu!

They also have a place holder page for "STAR WARS [Blu-ray]". Been there for about 6 months. Means nothing.

I am not saying anything about the movie actually coming out on Blu any time soon, I am simply saying I though it was somewhat funny to see the HD-DVD listing have Blu-ray listed as the format.

Well it is not a real product since it says "alert me when item is available". It is just a report and could be false or incorrect. Don't sweat it, it won't be this year anyways.

Have you read the reviews? So funny to see these fanboys get worked up over something that may not see the light of day. B. Fox says something about Spielberg directed movies being exempt from being released by Paramount and they all call him a troll. Someone should leave a comment backing him up. At least he is trying to spread truth and not FUD.

Default Indy Jones will be...

hi funky dudes

As I was checking for some good news from Amazon, I found something... maybe interesting... maybe disturbing

check it out

http://www.amazon.com/Adventures-Ind...blurayforum-20

Spielberg is blu right??
Paramount is red right??

So in which color will Indy be released??

notice that amazon is titling HD DVD but informs that you'll need a blu ray player to watch the movie...

It says format Blu-Ray but on the title it says Hd-Dvd so which is it? I think some Hd-Dvd gave them the suggestion of having the title as Hd-Dvd freaking prick

Umm...means about as much as this:

http://www.amazon.com/Star-Wars-Trilogy-Episodes-Blu-ray/dp/B000PMG16U/ref=pd_bbs_sr_2/103-1170348-8197457?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1191933510&sr=8-2

--which is to say, nothing.

Spielberg's folks came out just yesterday saying (among other things) that there are currently no plans to release any of his films in HD except CE3K (and Twilight Zone The Movie, for which he directed one segment out of four).

Amazon is notorious for writing some pretty stupid things on their product page. It makes you wonder who they hire to do that kind of stuff.

Speilberg Paramount movies dont fall under their "contract." Spielberg said (and it said this in the official announcment) that all movies he directed will still be released on both formats. Speilberg has special rights to his movies unlike most directors and he is a Blu-ray supporter.

I think this is another case of Amazon jumping the gun on some of these notification sheets and being behind on loading other pre-orders etc.

Considering all the recent hubbub I would be really supprised if these were released on HD-DUD

Did I read correctly somewhere that there is a current rift between Spielberg and studio execs and that there was some sort of contract that was due to expire in the near future?
