Default Favorite comedy without laugh track

This one's a little different. Maybe it hasn't been done before on this website, I don't know.

What is the best sitcom ever (in your opinion) that doesn't have a laugh track? There are eight options, including "Other". If you voted "Other", please tell me what you think is the best.

Arrested Development better win this by a landslide. Best comedy of the past 15 years, hands down.

I voted for Modern Family because I can't find another show where I've laughed as consistently as I have with this show. It's smart, witty, and subtle. I love Arrested Development and The Office but I get more out of MF.

What he said. Or Breaking Bad (I like my humor black, no sugar, no cream).

It's hard to judge because some of these shows are still airing, some have ended, some are back from the dead, some have only aired a handful of episodes...

Once again I have a memory of decades of sitcoms. The first I recall were two in the late 60's. The Bill Cosby Show was brilliant, and Julia was very good as well. I voted "other" for "The Bill Cosby Show"....

Arrested Development with a write-in runner up of Sports Night Season 1.5 through Season 2 (they were phasing out the laugh track in Season 1, half way through it was gone...) I do enjoy Modern Family but it was AD for the win in this poll.

I watched the new Tim allen comedy the other day, lasted 3 mins before the laugh track annoyed the fudge out of me.

The middle and Modern family for me

When you say "without laugh track" does that also include the shows filmed infront of a live audience? I don't really pay attention to what shows have them and which ones don't.

Anyway, think the only comedies I watch are The Big Bang Theory, Two and a Half Men, How I Met Your Mother & The Inbetweeners (US). Oh wait and theres Animal Practice. Can't really say which one I prefer over the other.

Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother and Two and a Half Men have laugh tracks so that only leaves Animal Practice and The Inbetweeners.

I love Parks & Recreation and Modern Family so it's hard to decide between the two. They're both amazing and hilarious but I think I might like Parks a little more now.

While I love Modern Family and Arrested Development, my favorite comedy of all time is Scrubs. So I selected "Other"

They can't have canned laughter, and they can't have audience laughs either.

No laughing sound effect at all, whether it's fake or real.

I'm sorry, I have to admit I wasn't really thinking about "Curb Your Enthusiasm", which I should have included.
