I hope for two things on this release:

1. A full HD transfer of the Taiwanese version or at least a re-cut from the HD master with the additional scenes inserted (the German BD only had the Taiwanese version as an SD transfer with burnt-in subtitles).

2. Cantonese audio (both the HKL DVD and the German BD only had Mandarin).

Really hope the extended Taiwanese version is included as I never managed to track that down on DVD.

Also fingers crossed for the English dub as always, maybe even a hybrid mix for the extended version?

Great to see this one finally get a release, not too many more pre 2000 Chans left to go, just a shame some seem to be locked in the Warner Brothers vault so 88 Films and Eureka can't work their magic on them.

If Tokyo Decadence is anything to go by, 88 Films just post the timing of the longest claimed version.

I'm hopeful too though, this is one instance where the Taiwanese cut is way better as it includes an entire (emotionally dramatic) subplot.

Fingers crossed it's a 2K or 4K restoration of the original camera negative of some sorts... But if it's even a good HD transfer I'll be happy been waiting years for this title to release on Blu-ray in the UK

I just don't think it's a particularly good movie. It's from the same director as Fantasy Mission Force and for completionists only. Like me.
