Default You saw the twist/surprise coming?

We'd better have LOTS of spoiler tags going in this one.

Last night, my best friend and I watched "Fight Club". He gave it to me for Christmas two years ago but we just now got around to it. lol. First time for both of us.

Now very early in the film, I started thinking
[Show spoiler]that Brad Pitt wasn't real. My buddy Bob picked up on it too. The flashes of Pitt he got before meeting him, the memories and knowledge of things, like having sex with Marla, or knowing where she lives... it all snowballed fast. We were convinced that Edward Norton had lost it within the first hour or so of the movie. Turns out we were right.

So name a movie that had some kind of surprise, big or mild, that you predicted early on.

BE SURE AND WRAP SPOILER TAGS AROUND THE SPOILERY STUFF!!!

Almost every twist ending movie :-/

I envy the people who can site there and not wonder for a whole 2 hours and be epicly surprised when the twist is revealed.

I was surprised by a Nicolas Cage movie from the past decade (Not Wicker Man lol). I'm going to wrap the title in spoilers simply because I was never expecting a twist ending, and I don't want my reveal of the title to cause non viewers to over think their way into the truth

I think it was supposed to be obvious but the ending of Shutter Island. Not sure as some dumb arses at my work said it was a massive twist at the end?

I don't know if I'm dumb or what, but I'm the opposite of zahinn and almost never know what the twist ending is going to be. I did think the Nicolas Cage one obriensg1 referred to was brilliant, not only for the ending, but for all the performances. One of my favorite movies. Shutter Island was definitely not obvious to me either.

Come to think of it, I can't recall a twist ending movie that I did know ahead of time. My wife is good at that, but not me. I think there have been a couple. I just can't think of them.

.
I rarely catch them, because I just go with the flow of the film and do not think ahead.

However, for 'Up in the Air, it was pretty obvious what was going to happen once Clooney's character was
[Show spoiler]going to see right after he rang that doorbell
.

I was pretty disappointed by that, plus his
[Show spoiler]seminar decision
right before that also.

The Uninvited: About halfway through the movie I figured out who the killer was. The movie trailer tried to mislead you in thinking
[Show spoiler]Elizabeth Banks/Rachel
character was the antagonist. In the end it was actually
[Show spoiler]Emily Browning/Anna, the main character in the movie
. The only part that surprised me was finding out that
[Show spoiler]Arielle Kebbel/Alex was already dead!
Similar to Sixth Sense. Very good movie. I own both the DVD and Blu-ray!

I didn't see this one coming. However, I did figure out Source Code fairly early in the movie.

I'm usually surprised by most twists endings I watch a lot of movies so I shouldn't be but I'm more of a passive viewer. I just try to watch the movie in the moment without trying to think 10 steps ahead seems to work for me because I didn't figure out the ending to any of the movies list so far

My sister figured out the big story twist in "The Lake House", shortly after it started.

my wife wont let me watch law & order with her for this very reason. 15 minutes in and I call it and go do something else. By the end of the show she comes and hits me for getting it right.

Speaking of Shyamalan, the twists in The Village and Signs were both insultingly easy to figure out.

I worked out the twist ending to most Nicholas Sparks movies (HINT: If someone has a cough, they will wind up dead by the end of the film)

The Village was just insulting in general.

Signs had a twist? If you are talking about the water, I don't really think that counts as a twist.

Two seconds into Saw I said; "that dead guy on the ground is the killer."

I don't know how to do spoilers sorry, and if I ruined Saw for anyone who hasn't seen it, don't worry. That movie was ruined before it started playing. I don't think I made it to the end...
