Arrow 'Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance'

Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance February 12, 2012

Quote:
Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance is an upcoming 3D superhero film based on the Marvel Comics supernatural antihero Ghost Rider, scheduled to be released in theaters on February 17, 2012. The film is a sequel to the 2007 film Ghost Rider. It will be directed by Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor. Cage will reprise his role as Johnny Blaze / Ghost Rider.

PremiseSet several years after the first film, Johnny Blaze is in self-imposed exile from the world. Blaze has become a tormented soul, convinced that his powers are a curse. Former stuntman Blaze is then approached by Moreau, a member of the monastic order of Michael, the warrior angel. Moreau seeks a protector for a mother and son duo who are being pursued by a figure named Roarke – a fellow with a detailed knowledge of the Ghost Rider and his different identities over the centuries.

Default Ghost Rider 2 a Go?

There is a report that Ghost Rider 2 is pretty much a go.

Quote:
It's pretty shocking that it has taken this long for a sequel to get a move on, but finally Columbia Pictures is gearing up for GHOST RIDER 2, the sequel to the smash-hit comic book adaptation from 2007 that saw Nicolas Cage as a stunt motorcyclist Johnny Blaze who gives up his soul to become a hellblazing vigilante, to fight against power hungry Blackheart, the son of the devil himself. What we learned this evening is that Columbia Pictures is officially out to writers to pen the sequel and that Nicolas Cage is in fact attached and signed on to return.
Linky

I know a lot of people didn't like the first movie , but I'm actually excited about this because I enjoyed the first movie.

Yes, GR is one of my favorite comics and they completely destroyed what should have been a great film. Cage is also the WRONG choice to play Johnny Blaze, he is just too old. I was hoping they Columbia would let GR fall through the cracks and Marvel would get it back so they could make it right.

Still haven't seen the movie

I'll see the first one, but i think this will be pretty bad. Plus i'm suprised Nicholas Cage is doing it, i've heard he normally doesn't do sequels.

My friend and I watched the first one and laughed at it the entire time. Watch it with a friend and it will be one of the funniest movies you have ever seen.

People give the first one a lot more crap than it deserves. Sure, it wasn't the best comic adaptation ever, but it wasn't Catwoman, either.

I gotta admit that I would have rather seen a full-on Marvel Studios headed reboot though.

I wasn't a fan of the first one so I probably won't like the second. But I can't be sure till I see it.

GR on blu was very nice, and I was originally disappointed with the first one, I think it made a better impression on people not familiar with GR (my wife really liked it) but I've watched it again since and it has grown on me somewhat, hopefully part 2 wil be a little darker
