Default Re-issuing Law & Order CI Season 3/Hitch Presents Final Season

It’s hardly surprising why those running Amazon have been slammed in the popular press recently. Amazon is at the stage in its evolution where if it wants to get something done there’s not much to stop it, like baiting reactionary NRA members or baiting the Pentagon to build what’s said to be the world’s most deadliest weapons system-and likely at cost hardly making the average taxpayer feel any safer. Among other unlovely behaviors, Bezos and company have not infrequently shown disregard for employees and consumers alike-particularly music and movie collectors. Ditto fellow giants like Comcast/Universal. This may explain why after years of Amazon reviewer appeals neither corporation apparently couldn’t be bothered with issuing Alfred Hitchcock Presents Season 7 nor Law & Order CI Season 3, the latter inexplicably going OPP, while all other season DVD sets remain in print.

Of course, this leaves collectors to either do without or pay as much as 8 times the original price to buy a NOS copy from a third party seller hosted by Amazon. https://www.amazon.ca/Law-Order-Crim...ntent+season+3

I’ll be damned if I ever do anything like that again when I spent way more than any fool should have on the Fox issued Outer Limits complete series OPP set (with poorly mastered sound quality) only to see the completely unanticipated Blu-Ray edition debut, albeit two years later.

I was perhaps only partially successful at sending Amazon feedback at least twice about arranging with Universal to re-issue L & O CI Season 3-and the very long awaited final season of Alfred Hitchcock Presents. The last appeal was only a few months ago, but received nothing more than a form letter reply. And Shout Factory who Universal licensed to issue DVD sets of some of their vintage TV series (https://www.shoutfactory.com/product...roduct_id=2451 ) accepts no special release requests.

If more collectors petition Unversal directly things may change. This appears to be the only Universal consumer portal https://www.uphe.com/contact-support,

But if Universal still won’t stand and deliver then why not Amazon? After all, they released Hitch Presents Season Six on DVD-R-at least four years after Universal released Season Five-and did a commendable job of it too. Picture AND sound quality were way better than any of the previous season pressed DVD sets from Universal. Surely, Amazon issued DVD-R sets of L & O CI Season 3 and of Hitch Presents Season 7 would clearly become huge sellers. There's no reason why Region 1 collectors should have to make do with Region 2 issues. https://www.amazon.com/Alfred-Hitchc.../dp/B00TIHI45E

The trouble is Amazon has no dedicated consumer portal for product suggestions. I have used their general feedback portal to voice my requests -and have spoken to their (very outsourced) customer service staff to ask them to pass on my suggestions to their marketing department, for all the good any of that will likely do.

But if you don’t ask then you don’t get.
Let’s figure out a way to make it happen.
