Default Rob (The TV Series)

Has anyone been watching this series? While I've never been a fan of Rob Schneider and it took me some time to finally get the nerve to watch this series, it's actually pretty hilarious.

The series stars Rob Schneider a former life-long bachelor and landscape architect with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, who marries into a close-knit Mexican-American family and attempts to be closer to them, often ending in disastrous results despite his good intentions.

The series stars Rob Schneider, Claudia Bassols (as his wife) and Cheech Marin (as Claudia's father).

The series is pretty hilarious as Rob's OCD often interferes with his ability to play nice with his new wife's family.

I have been following it and I am really liking it, I was reluctant at first because I have never a fan of Schneider's films, I started watching it because I knew Eugenio Derbez was in it...

It is pretty good and so far the only weak episode IMO was the one from last week, this week's was hilarious, the whole situation of Rob trying to cope with his new family works really well with the actors they chose...

I still don't buy though that a girl like that would marry Rob...

I have to agree with you. I've just never been a fan of Rob Schneider's brand of comedy but this new series has changed that. It's nice to see him taking comedy seriously instead of simply acting like a caricature of ridiculousness. I think with such great actors like Cheech Marin, who has a history in the movie and television industry, that his acting has finally grown up. Cheech Marin should be a great influence on his acting.

It is a good show but I think Rob is the weakest one on it. Cheech and his BIL are the ones carrying it.

True they are the best two, but without Rob there would be no premise for the show.

I'm always hesitant about comedies, especially on CBS because most of them aren't funny to me. But since I love The Hot Chick and his random roles in Adam Sandler movies I figured I'd watch it just because.

It's not as funny as Parks & Recreation or Modern Family but I do like it so far. There have been some hilarious scenes like when Hector got stuck in the car wash and in the last episode where Rob was making fun of Fernando and Hector, then Hector was acting like Christopher Walken.

I think this series will just continue to get better. Not only that, but it highlights the problems that Latino-Americans face, living here in America.

If it gets renewed, there's only one episode left

Well, the series was originally ordered for eight episodes but I think more episodes will be ordered because each episode has been pulling in more than 10 million viewers per episode.
