Default Martin Mull (1943-2024)

Quote:
Martin Mull, the droll comic actor best known for his roles in “Clue,” “Roseanne” and “Arrested Development,” died Thursday at age 80.

His daughter, Maggie Mull, shared the news to Instagram on Friday, writing, “I am heartbroken to share that my father passed away at home on June 27th, after a valiant fight against a long illness.”

Maggie, who is a TV witer, added, “He was known for excelling at every creative discipline imaginable and also for doing Red Roof Inn commercials. He would find that joke funny. He was never not funny.”

He did movies. He did TV. One of my favorite TV shows of all time.

I remember Fernwood2Night for its satire. Martin Mull and Fred Williard were a great comedic team. It's a bit shocking to hear of Mull's passing, he was a great comedian and actor. He'll be missed. Rest In Peace.

So many roles, but I'll always remember him for Mr. Mom.

I've watched "Clue" so many times since it came out, it's ridiculous. He had a wonderfully sharp, comedic mind. It's depressing to think how many greats we've lost in the last couple of years.

One of my early movie memories is the Disney Channel television movie 'Lots of Luck' (1985) A Fernwood reunion!

I keep hoping it was Gene Parmesan in disguise.

Comedy or drama Mull always killed. Such a loss.

"What are you, a cop?" Absolutely loved his character on Two and a Half Man men as the Pharmacist. Made me laugh no matter how many times I had seen the episode.

I can't remember seeing any of his films very much, but I did enjoy his many appearances on Whoopi Goldberg's version of Hollywood Squares. He seemed like a witty, semi-sarcastic, yet also very intelligent man.

Big fan of Martin Mull. It started with Clue, however, I probably saw him in Mrs. Doubtfire first or Mr. Mom. I loved seeing him with Fred Willard. Fernwood and America 2Night deserve a Time Life release or something. His History of White People series is fantastic. I highly recommend seeking those out.

As funny as he was, he was also an accomplished artist and musician. I remember listening to a podcast with him, the Carson one or Maron and he talked extensively about his art and his process. Bob Saget was apparently working on a documentary bout that, wonder how that's going. He even appeared in Tim's Vermeer for his "artistic knowledge and expertise."

This one hurts

Bill Cobbs and now Martin Mull.
I just heard I was in Facebook feeds yesterday and so shocked! He's hilarious on Roseanne as Leon Carp.

RIP Martin Mull

Loved him on Two and a Half Men as well. Vaguely remembered him from Sabrina (was very young when it was on and preferred the Disney/DiC animated version)

Sad. All the greats are dying off, and there's no one to replace them

I’ll never forget him as Vlad Masters/Plasmius in Danny Phantom. A crazed-up Fruit-Loop to the bitter end and a wonderful actor.

Sad news. My first introduction to him was as Leon in Roseanne and I loved how he played the character. Mull did an excellent job of conveying the sarcasm, wit and humor.

I remember Fernwood 2night being a spin-off from Mary Hartman Mary Hartman, also a funny show but it's been so long ago I don't remember much of it other than Dabney Coleman was also in it. Sad that another actor from my youth has passed away. Almost no one left from the 70's anymore.
