I've seen a lot of articles online that indicate that UV is streaming only. Upon doing my own research going on the ultraviolet and flixster websites, I've found out that nothing could be further from the truth. I bought Wrath of the Titans the other day, downloaded a digital copy to my IPAD, then watched the film offline.
You do have to create both an Ultraviolet and Flixster account, then link them, but once you do that, your movies are automatically stored in the cloud. If you want to download a digital copy of a film, just click on whatever movie title you want to download, hit the "download" button, and that film will also be stored on your HD in addition to having it available in the cloud. Only major difference that I can think of in terms of watching downloaded movies on the IPAD, is that you have to use The Flixster app ( which runs offline as well as online), instead of ITunes to watch movies offline.
