'88 is only 3 episodes. Started Tuesday, second is today, Wednesday. And the last episodes Thursday. I'm glad they're showing them all in a rowrather than spread out one a week. It's pretty much a 2 and a half hour film. Don't see why they are waiting until Jan 23rd to release it though, surprised they didn't release it next monday in time for Christmas

2 years have passed so there's a lot left unexplained even if you watched '86 right before watching '88 there would still be some WTF? moments lol

Yeah, I dont even think we knew she was even pregnant in '86 so it's pretty much left up to us to put 2 and 2 together. I don't know where Milky's been either, but I'm sure that will come out.

this is England 86 is a stunning blu-ray apart from the first minute or so which is clearly a cut from the film so I am expecting 88 to be the same 10/10 cant wait for tonight episode

They say Milky went away to work that's why he has nice suits and money to give LoL, i thought it was an amazing series with a really moving ending too, i hope they do a 90s version too, to be honest i could watch this as a long running TV show with say 12 episodes per season!

According to an interview with Shane Meadows they have the green light to do This Is England 90 set around the acid house/warehouse clubbing of the era. Hopefully it will get a bit lighter again, whilst the drama has its place, I think it was the mix of humour and camaraderie that made the 1st film. I think its gone a bit too serious and dark

Yeah that would be a great scene as that's pretty much what i remember about the 90s lol, i think going down the lighter route would be great and with the way 88 finished, i don't want to spoil it for those that haven't seen it but it could definatly go down the lighter route now.

Ditto! I was clubbing from 88 - present day so should be interesting. It will be hard to top Human Traffic though

Was not really impressed with this Mini series, episode three was great the rest where a bit meh.

I am planning to watch the three of them back to back with the Mrs sometime over the weekend so see how i feel about it after a repeat viewing.

The Biggest question i had was where is Meggy and did his heart finally pack in for good ?

Shane has said in the past that like a lot of things in his TIE films/series are drawn from his own youth. With Shaun being bassed on himself as a child.

In an interview he talked about the early 90's scene and the popular drugs of the time and how he lost a friend that OD'd on a night out. So my guess would be that will play a major part in TIE '90.

Question is who will be the one to go?

As for this 3 part "series" I think it will play much better when we can finally see it as the movie it was meant to be, at least thats the way I think it should have been shown, rather than chopped up and spread over 3 nights.

I think it will flow much better in one sitting
