I couldnt find a thread for this and the premier episode is next week.

Spielberg is executive producing. But it looks like has nothing to do with the show creatively.

A faux documentary about the hunt for a missing scientist on the Amazon River. Paranormal craziness ensues.

What up Squidmeister, I am gonna DVR this and give it a shot also. The commercials look good. I dont like that paranormal stuff to much but this looks to be done a bit better so well see. It doesnt look cheap like those Paranormal Activity movies which are very home videoish! Got Em!!

Well I am hoping it is more along the lines of "Amazonia" by James Rollins. I will definitely give it a try for at least a few shows.

Will watch a few episodes to see what its like. Hopefully its good because I thought Alcatraz and the Firm were gonna be good but they have already run out of steam in my book.

I intend to give it a chance but it already conflicts with other shows I watch so it will be judged harshly to see if I want to continue fighting the schedules and trying to remember to watch other shows I may miss online at a later date.

The second time I watched the trailer, it was more difficult to see what was going on than the first time.

Looks promising. Given the first season will only be 8 episodes, that's just the right amount to judge it and see if I want to stick around for a second season. I'll be watching.

Spielberg is a lot like JJ Abrams, being listed as a TV show producer in order to help get a project off the ground but not actually being involved in it.

So I guess the question that begs answering is

But I absolutely LOVE the premise of it with the Steve Irwin type character running a TV show and getting lost in the Amazon, but the way it's being executed is kind of leaving me going "meh." It's decent though. Will definitely keep watching, but I think they are trying too hard to make it seem like a horror movie.

This just isn't my cup o'tea, I guess. 99.9% of the paranormal/mystical stuff out there just bores me.
