So far the only true standout performance I think I've seen is Ralph Fiennes in The Grand Budapest Hotel. I have yet to see the films you listed above, although I'm dying to see Under the Skin and The Immigrant. While they would never get any recognition for these roles, I was truly impressed with James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender in X-Men: Days of Future Past, and with Chris Evans and Scarlett Johannson in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. I also need to see Tom Hardy's performance in Locke.

Gah! Completely forgot about Fiennes and McAvoy! Two brilliant performances for sure. I'd give a mention to the ensemble in The Lego Movie too.

Fassbender in Frank...you'll understand when you see the movie.

Also McAvoy was pretty mental in Filth, he even did all his own alcohol consumption and vomit.

I really want to see that movie. I'm curious if he wears the giant bobblehead throughout the whole film.

Ralph Fiennes in Grand Budapest

That's all I've seen that's really impressed me so far. Plenty of good performances though but it's those 3 that I can see myself remembering at the end of the year.

Ralph Feinnes Grand Budapest Hotel.

Ed Norton *as above*

not many have stood out.

I did like Dane Dehaan in Spiderman, fairly good effort for a typical villain.

Haven't seen too many films from this year, but from those I have, the two that stick out are Ralph Fiennes from Grand Budapest and Michael Fassbender from X-Men.
