Although I have 14 pairs of passive 3D glasses for my LG 55LW5600, they are very plain. They get the job done, but I am wondering if there are any other manufacturers that make more stylish passive 3D glasses that work with the LG 3D Cinema displays.
Any recommendations? Links would be very helpful. Thanks. |

You shoulda gone and seen ol' Haz Potter and the Deathly Hallows or whatever it was called. For a dollar extra they had Harry's glasses, if you consider them stylish...
Could an optometrist maybe make a pair for you in your frame of choice? Might be worth an ask... |

Thanks Keb,
Those Oakley passive 3D glasses are amazing -- and so is the price... $150? (Yikes!). But I would sure feel like Optimus Prime's beotch wearing them while viewing 3D BDs on the LG 55LW5600, eh? Seriously, the plain black ones ($120) are truly spectacular. Do you have a pair? So now I am torn... do I save up for the Oakley's or cough-up my 400 Disney Reward Points for the Cars 3D glasses? ![]() [Show spoiler]

Oh- FYI the Cars 2 glasses are kid sized (as in fact the Optimus mask might be- still haven't verified that).
DMR's Pirates glasses are regular size- but I think in all practical respects they are identical to regular theater RealD glasses. And they are 700 points. I might still get them as I like limited edition movie glasses. I've got my Captain America 3D glasses from the premiere at Comic Con, my Harry Potter ones (HORRIBLY uncomfortable ![]() |

With Christmas knocking at the door, I doubt Santa will bring me a pair of Oakley passive 3D glasses. I've been using the standard LG 3D passive glasses that came with the 55LW5600. They work GREAT, but I feel the need to upgrade from the "Ugly Betty" 3D eyewear and treat myself to a sexy pair of Oakleys. I wanna look fly -- even in the dark.
I cannot walk around looking like Edith Bunker. I wanna be a 3D stud like Tyrese Gibson in Transformers. So I guess it's time to man up and fork over $120 bucks (or more) for those super cool Oakley's. Has anyone else here on the 3D forum bought the Oakley passive 3D shades? If so, was it worth it to you? |
