United Kingdom Strange HMV new Steelbook Pricing!

Just noticed on HMV that many blu Steelbooks have increased in priced to rounded-up prices - what's more, many are now priced at 28 or 30 quid! What is going on how strange!

maybe they have caught on to the idea that there is a big demand for steelbooks among blu ray consumers so they went up with there prices

Well there are a couple of HMV steels I've been waiting to book my next job to get and I see they've gone up to 25 pounds each (Touch Of Evil & Super 8).

New financial year probably has a lot to do with it mixed in with the sorry state they are in financialy and the loophole being closed down.

It's a shame. But to be fair a few have dropped a few pound. The biggest joke is Star Wars Saga... http://hmv.com/hmvweb/displayProduct....do?sku=220979

£100!

HMV have been trying to reconcile their online and in-store prices. I guess this means paying online the same stupid money they charge for steelbooks on the high street.

HMV logic
Was in my local y'day and they had a few Disney DVD's priced at £22 whilst their Blu-ray counterpart for one of the titles was only £10

they had more DVD copies of these movie's than they did blu-rays so that cant be the cause
Plus, one of the blu's was a double play. Why would you pay more for a DVD only version?
I dont think HMV are that arsed about pushing 'upgrade to blu' for that logic to be the cause either

Girl With The Dragon Tattoo went from £14.99 to £14.00

Sherlock Holmes 2: Game of Shadows went from £15.99 to £15.00
