Thanks. Sounds interesting. I only saw the original animated film 1 time on VHS way back then.

3D is now officially confirmed I've seen the new posters online with ILM (the vfx house) confirming it's releasing to 3D

Will be good if Disney gets back to releasing their theater films in 3D at the very least for 3D fans to see more 3D content. It seems Disney completely skipped a 3D conversion for Snow White Live Action remake in 2025 March 21st.

Lilo Stitch remake live action in 3D might get me into the theater to see it.
Of course these films on blu ray 3D would be better yet.
AVP Apple Vision Pro, very small niche market. Expand it to 3D digital for all 3D displays at the very least if they don't want to print out a limited edition blu ray 3D for 3D fans...

OMG! After reading this and there will be also a Star Wars: Starfighter (3D???) movie with Ryan Gosling and the next Tron movie seems confirmed for 3D, i really pray there will be a 3D Blu-ray comeback of non Marvel Disney movies in the near future, starting with titles like "Jungle Cruise", "Free Guy", "X-Men: Dark Phoenix" and some animation.

Before someone asks:

Formats: 2D, 3D, PLF 2D & 3D, Dolby Cinema, D-Box, 4DX, MX4D

No IMAX, that will belong to Mission Impossible 8.

It's going to take more than prayer because for years now Disney have shown that they just don't want to make ANY money from 3D Blu-rays. For that to change, either the whole company needs to be bought out or a bunch of people have to lose their jobs and be replaced by someone competent.

Hi, sorry for the dumb question, but I'm just curious: does the PLF version mean that the film is presented in an expanded aspect ratio? Or is it just the scope version for PLF screens? Thank you.

PLF's can be either Scope 2.39 or Flat 1.85, in this case here Lilo & Stitch is in Scope so no expanded ratio available.

Saw it this evening. Thought the 3D was pretty lacklustre to be honest. Didn’t feel like much thought was given to the 3D at all.

Attended the first showing I could, and unfortunately it couldn't be a 3D because the earliest available showing in a PLF was in Dolby Cinema.

The movie is excellent and people really enjoyed it... especially the kids.

Also, a lot of fans are showing up wearing Stitch headbands or sometimes completely in Stitch costumes.

It's really a phenomenal experience, with the fans being so excited about it.

Separation between layers was extremely minimal, & surprisingly with a number of conversion/rotoscoping errors. Not as bad as Jurassic World 2&3 but surprisingly close. Almost as if an AI-assisted manual conversion, but not as good as if done by the folks from EyePop.

The movie was quite enjoyable but after watching the 3D trailers for Fantastic Four and Elio, the 3D in this movie turned out to be virtually non-existent. I forgot the movie was in 3D. Not once I thought a scene looked cool in 3D.

Well, after having watched the regular version of the movie twice in Dolby Cinema, I finally got to watch it in 3D and felt it was a very noticeable improvement, imho.

It certainly isn't the strongest 3D ever, and I suppose seeing as how the movie is mostly aimed at young kids, the target audience probably won't mind in the slightest.

But after having already seen it without 3D, there was a lot of stuff that positively jumped out, like the scenes in the Galactic Council, Stitch going down a chute in the spaceship (or the station, don't remember which).

There's also a lot of the beauty of the Hawaii locations that really jumps out when you watch it in 3D. Notice how many shots there are with a moving ground-level camera - it gives you a great sense of space and the vastness of the land.

There's also the effect it has on Stitch itself - much like with Jar Jar Binks in the 3D version of The Phantom Menace, the 3D effect makes him feel much more organic, like a real, breathing thing, not just some CGI thing on the screen.

I will be watching this in 3D 4DX sometime in the next week and feel really excited to get to see in in 3D at least twice.
