Default The Shins return, and their new video is AMAZING.

James Mercer's band, The Shins, is releasing a new album next week, and their first single, "Simple Song," has a great new video:

Taken from the video's comment section: "This is pretty much the movie Wes Anderson has been trying to make for the past ten years."

Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

i've already listened to this album 5 or 6 times.

love it

shocking to think it's been five years since a Shins album! glad the wait is over. lived up to my expectations. will be interesting to see how i feel about it in 6 months or so - as far as where it falls in line of my favorite Shins albums.

i hold a special place in my musical heart for Oh, Inverted World, but i wonder if this will pass it for the top spot.

excellent record and glad to see some fans on here

I am really enjoying it so far, as well.

I read a positive review that mentioned how it would be very difficult to categorize this album as sounding like it's "of" a specific decade or era, and I completely agree.

Also, a couple of the tracks have a production style that sounds nothing like anything off their previous three albums, yet somehow manage to still feel familiar.

James Mercer's voice and songwriting are both just awesome.

hoping to see the Shins this summer. Got to see Broken Bells 2 years ago if that counts.
