I absolutely love this film! One of my favorite Christmas movies. I grew up watching this and I've already watched it a few times this past week on TV. Tim Allen is perfect as Scott Calvin aka Santa.

Still can't believe it isn't on Blu-ray yet

I guess if there is any hope, it won't be until next holiday season.

I don't understand why some of the worst films are on blu and others like these are not? Can't do much but keep waiting.

I remember when this first came out. I watched it all the time, and after some years got so tired of it. I would not watch it for anything!! This year, I've found myself watching again... whenever it's on, I can't seem to pass it up.

This is definitely a must-have for Tim Allen fans. I remember getting the VHS version in my stocking way back in the day.

The Biography Channel aired an amazing 90-minute special in December on the making of the film that I would love to see put on BD. The special also mentioned about half an hour's worth of deleted scenes that mostly focused on a parallel Charlie plot thread before it was decided the focus needed to stay on Scott. I'd really like to see those, and I don't know what's taking Disney so long.

Perhaps after Disney has released most of their animated films they will start to focus on their live-action movies. At least that is what I am hoping for anyway.

My understanding is the The Santa Clause Trilogy is going to be out before Halloween 2012.

Hopefully they have individual releases. I really only want the first one.

Yeah, I really only want the original, too. Then again, what the heck? The kids will probably watch them, so if they don't come out individually, I'll just get the trilogy set. I've been waiting for the first one to be released for a long time. It is about time. It is absolutely one of my favorite Christmas movies of all time.

I hope so. I have the first one on DVD and the third one I got for $5.00 used. I'd get the box set if the extras were cool.

I'd only buy this if it was the first film alone. The second was tolerable, but the third sucked.
