Amazing Photorealism Artist - Mainly Movies
Barry Jazz Finnegan NXUS Interview – Pop Culture Photorealism Artist
Source
Quote:
What evolved from Pop Art in the 60′s & 70′s, Photorealism is the accurate depiction of a photograph primarily through painting. From catching the right shadows and lighting in an environment to penciling in wrinkles on a face, Photorealism artistry is truly a remarkable skill that requires patience, foresight, and a gift in design.
Ireland based Photorealism artist Barry Jazz Finnegan holds a keen eye for portraying pop culture icons as life on canvas. Finnegan not only depicts these actors and musicians in realistic form, but chooses some of the most memorable scenes from film or photo archives to commemorate them. His portfolio includes famous characters such as Hannibal Lector from Silence of the Lambs, Yoda from Star Wars, Leon & Matilda from The Professional, Bruce Lee, William Wallace from Braveheart, and The Joker from The Dark Knight.
At the age of 31, Finnegan and his artwork are getting noticed. With the help of Facebook & Youtube, his following is growing everyday. Collectors of movie memorabilia or fans of certain musicians may want to look at picking up a print to give the house / studio apartment some edge.
Seeing as how these paintings are not only impressive but relive unforgettable moments in silver screen pop culture history, NXUS wanted to give Finnegan a spotlight on our website. In this feature we talked with Finnegan and asked him some simple questions about his skill as an artist and what his future goals are with his work.
