Germany Death Note - L: Change the World (2008)

German distributor Splendid Entertainment will be releasing the third entry of the Death Note trilogy, L: Change the World, on May 25, 2012. This will be the second release of the film, with the first Blu-ray being in the film's native Japan. According to Bluray-disc.de, the disc contains Japanese (with a good portion of the film being in English) and German dubbing in DTS-HD MA 5.1 and German subtitles. The film is rated 16, BD50, Region B locked, Mpeg4 video codec, 1080p in 1.85:1 aspect ratio, with a run time of 2hrs 9min. I am planning on importing this since it was my favorite of the three films.

I want this very bad myself, but, I'm hoping since the Death Note films got a US release this will find it's way to Blu in the states as well.

I found it strange that Viz Pictures skipped L: Change the World when they released the first two films on Blu-ray.

Well to me, L Change the World was more of a spin-off than a sequel. That being said, I agree that it should have dropped at or at least around the same time. I just don't get the logic with some studios. Like that crap with the Blade films. Just release them all at once and stop pissin' around.

I see it as a sequel even though it's mostly a prequel to Death Note 2. It was stupid of Viz to skip it.

Now that I think about it, I forgot how much English was spoken in this film.
