Whoo Hoo!

Don't exactly know why my first reaction is excitement as TBH, the series is a bit of a slog for me now as an adult. I sure did love it as a kid though, as these ladies helped usher me into puberty.

Hopefully these would be full frame, but I have a bad feeling we'll get the cropped HD masters currently used for MeTV and others. I don'tthink they understood that a lot of the appeal of this show was contained in that, below the HD frame space. this is one show where cropping it almost renders it ...useless.

Awesome! Was scared Mill Creek might’ve given up on the TV sets after the last few low bitrate screwups.

Hope so, but I won't get too excited till we have the actual product in hand to verify that isn't a typo.

Good Lord! *Choke*

Even 50% off is close to $100 with tax. Ouch. Understandable I guess, given the # of eps, and assuming Mill Creek does a decent job with them (not a given, sadly).

I'll have to see what kind of deal and incentives the end of the year brings.
The nostalgia monger in me would covet something like this though.

Will probably be $50 shortly like the majority of their releases end up. I don’t believe there’s any digital HD version to compare to so unlike Rescue Me, we won’t be able to do a comparison and see how bad their poor compression destroyed it.

Still baffled as to why Friday Night Lights was encoded in MPEG-2.

The Rockford Files box set presented the episodes in correct AR, so I have no reason to believe that these won't either. Plus, I picked up the Rockford set for just over $40 from Deep Discount, so if you're patient enough you'll be able to get this for that amount too.

Will definitely be picking this up. I knew it was only a matter of time before Mill Creek announced this, but I'm not surprised they're timing it with the new reboot.

The 2011 reboot was kinda interesting, so that's nice to have. I don't think it would've been a good show in the long run, but it's not a bad watch for 8 episodes.

On the Mill Creek sellsheet: https://www.millcreekent.com/media/s...ets//63412.pdf

It also specifies that the original series will be fullscreen, and the 2011 series will be in widescreen.

Wow. One of my favourite shows. Are the company's Blu-ray releases usually region locked? I live in Europe and am dying to buy this.

Weird that they're putting them together, should have done both separate. I guess that's why it says "The Complete Collection" on the sellsheet, guess they'll update the artwork to reflect that.

Great news. I haven't seen these in HD since they aired widescreen on the Universal channel awhile back.

The original series is 110 episodes. The reboot is 8 episodes. 20 discs. So it should be about 6 episodes a disc. Not bad. I prefer a maximum of five 1 hour episodes a disc.

Reboot had 8 aired and 1 unaired, I'd imagine the 9th would end up on it as well.
