I have this on DVD, but would love to see it on Blu-Ray. Not many people I know know what this film is, but I think it's hilarious.

Would gladly make day 1 purchases for Brook's own directed comedies including Defending, "Mother", "Real Life" and of course my 2 favorites, "Lost in America" and "Modern Romance".

This remains Albert Brooks's best film. Hoping the Blu-ray is around the corner, now that Criterion and Indicator have been giving his other films HD releases.

I just finished Indicator’s release of Modern Romance and I’d love to see this one. I’m surprised it hasn’t been released yet, considering it’s a Meryl Streep starrer.

I love this film !!!! I remember renting it a second time, to share with my mother, who of course loved it as well.

I was going through my pre-order notification list, looking for region-free options in countries outside the US, and was happy to see Modern Romance qualified. One thing always leads to another, and here I am in this thread.

I'd love this to come out. Modern Romance from Indicator is one of the releases of the year for me - would love to see DYL come out. Though I do think for pure laugh ratio, Real Life gets me every time

Just adding my name to the list who want to see this film get the HD treatment. Got excited when I saw there was a new post here. This is the only movie I check the forum for several times a month. My most desired conversion.

Admittedly I've never seen Modern Romance, Real Life, or Lost in America. Planning to purchase all three blind over the next few months as I love Brooks' view of the world. Any others of his I should check out? And best of those three?

There are so few that they are all worth checking out. "Looking For Comedy In The Muslim World" is a mess, but there's a chunk in the middle that is hilarious for a good long stretch. For me, "Modern Romance" is the best one, but "Lost in America" seems to be the more common favorite.

Damn.. you got my hopes up with this bump (as I'm sure I'll do to other people with this post I'm making now). Seems like a no brainer for Criterion to pick up eventually. One day hopefully..

The reason I asked was because I saw a Boot BR here in SF. I assume they're made from a 1080 Streaming Version, but i was hoping someone got an Advanced Copy.
