I have a question for anyone that's viewed the Steve Winwood Live 2004 from the Sound Stage series. Picked this up for $7 yesterday, and I'm sitting here now enjoying it, nice little concert. I'm about 6 songs in and I'm finding the bass guitar quite good. Looking around to see who's playing it, I see NO ONE. Hmmm, am I losing my faculties? Hard to believe it would be pre recorded...anyone have any thoughts?

I gotta look this up, though. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Have you ever heard Winwood's collaboration Madison Square Concert recording with Clapton from 2009? It is available on Blu-Ray Audio among other formats... good stuff all-around obviously. |

I was wondering about his keyboard playing in this one, could he have been using keys for bass sounds and I don't think so. And as far as being pre recorded, there seems to be too many tempo changes in certain songs to expect anything pre recorded from the bass. Of course, what do I know? Perhaps it's someone off stage...you know, sorta like a Cyrano in the bushes... Last edited by Tornado Red; 06-10-2012 at 10:27 PM. |
