keeping iPod in the car permanently

Can you keep an iPod in the car permanently? I was thinking of buying this and leave an extra iPod in the car in a place where it wouldn't be simple to find.

I might not do this though. I recently upgraded my Sony and Dual speakers to Pioneer TS-G1644R. I even had to redo the wiring a little bit.

I'm kinda leaning to do this since I'm pretty much done with Sony (unless its PS, PS2, PS3, PSP maybe Vita and PS4 but I don't have them). I am finally getting rid of my MiniDiscs so I don't care for a Sony Bus system anymore since everything seems to be fitting nicely on my iPod.

I keep my older ipod in my car unless I'm syncing it. I used to have it in my glove box now it's in trunk. I live in LA so we don't have extreme temperatures but I haven't had any problems with it so far.

My 2nd Gen Nano I can't use unless its plug in so maybe I should try that.

i'm in Kentucky so I don't the weather gets that extreme even in the winter.

You could try putting your music on a slim USB flash and not even need an iPod.

Thats what I use in my Navigation system, granted not same as your radio...but I notice it has front and rear usb connections?

The flash drive is so low profile you will forget its even connected.

If anyone one wants to know I finally bought the reciever and did a mod on the car so now I can easily plug and unplug my ipod in instead of leaving it in there.
THankfully the Pioneer comes with an USB exstintion cable.
