Default Curious, how important is sealed vs opened and mint

Seems slow here today so lets talk.

As I browse the FS section I see people on there state how OCD they are and to trade the must trade for sealed and new. Or others that have their steels nicely displayed but all sealed up. I understand it..I do, but I just cant do it. I buy my movies to watch and I think they look better without all that ugly plastic and stickers on them.

So the questions are first what category are you in? Sealed or not?

And the second

How much does it affect the actual values, trade or otherwise, having your steel opened rather the sealed?

Like I said this is basically all out of curiosity, I buy my movies because I like them and want to watch them, not to build a retirement plan. Theyre not staying sealed. Even though it is always nice to know what something is worth and what you can get for it. Theres nothing to say I wouldn't like to be able to make some nice trades down the road.
