Default Energy Take Classic 5.1

Anyone here try these speakers out? Looks like a good bargain.

Most of the comments I've seen about the Takes are quite positive. They seem to be good for smaller rooms, so if that's what you have they may be a viable option. Certainly cheap enough. The sub could be a bit of an issue though - seems to be awfully small for HT.

Another one to consider would be the Martin Logan MLT-2. I like ML speakers myself, so that's what I would opt for personally. YMMV, of course.

I think I'm going to get a pair of bookshelf speakers & slowly build my system from there. I've been checking out the Energy RC-10 2 way pair for $250.

Killer deal on the RC-10, these are overstock and have been discontinued for quite a while so you must act rather quickly but at $250 i find nearly impossible to find a better speaker.

Yea it seems like an awesome deal until I read about the Inifity towers at Fry's for $200 a pair. But at least I have decided to go the rout of building my fronts first, then SW, & Rears etc... later.
