TheDigitalBits is reporting that A&E's upcoming MiniSeries Remake of the classic 1978 film version 'COMA' based on Robin Cook's classic novel of the same name about seemingly healthy patients going in for routine surgery only to wind up in a coma...will be released on October 30, 2012 on Blu-ray and DVD.

Ellen Burstyn, Richard Dreyfuss, Geena Davis and James Woods all star. And from Executive Producers Ridley Scott & Tony Scott.

Wow the timing of the announcement on the release is kind of errie.

Yea it is. I read SONY had already planned that date to announce it's release and that it had nothing to do with Tony Scott's death. The trailer DOES look cool though and I love the original.
