Do you like the Blue Banner on Top of the Steelbooks? - Blu-ray Forum

Some people love them, me in particular, others hate them, what do you guys think?
I think I like them in particular because the first ones had the banner so now the ones without banner to me they look out of place

I say blue banner group ppl will win

I like the blue top too, but I think for example on the FS Disney Steels they would not fit into the whole picture like they do on other Steel releases.

So Disney= no go and other titels I prefer with the blue top!!

The ones with them I like, the ones without them I like. Can't bring myself to hate a steelbook just because of a sexy Blu ray banner.

I would actually prefer no blu banner, but on some releases it fits with the overall look (usually the ones with cool colours in the artwork) , others it just looks out of place. Take the new Disney SBs, they are some of the best looking out there, all without the banner.

I totally hate the blue ribbon it's useless and really ugly, it ruin the art of a lot of SBs!
The blu-ray logo and the smaller size should be enough!

With me it depends on the release, but for the most part i do prefer the blu stripe.

IMO, i don't think Watchmen would look good with the blu stripe compared to how it looks without the blu stripe.

I really like the FS Iron Man blu stripe and the UK Sweeney Todd blu stripe, but not so much the FS IAL thick blu stripe.

Maybe i just sound crazy

Depends on the release. It depends on the artwork. A release like Tears of the sun its ok with the banner, but when you have a release like District 9 where they focus on the steel itself, it looks good with out.
