I cancelled an order once before it shipped because the price dropped 50 cents and I wanted to re-order at the new price. I'm really frugal so I'll do what I can to save even a few cents (except steal
![]() That being said, I do realize you only live once and if I spent a lifetime waiting to get something for the lowest price ever, I'd never own anything. ![]() |

Well, if you buy a lot of blu-ray's, every dollar discount codes :P.
For example: if you are a hardcore collector and buy 50 blu-ray's a month, you would save 150 dollars if you saved 3 dollars on each blu-ray. That means a lot of extra blu-ray's. My work here is done. |

I draw the line at certain price points so $3 can be the difference for me at times. For example, I won't spend more than $15 on a single catalog title unless it's a favorite and there's only a few of those I have done that with. With new releases I won't go over $20 for a single title in standard packaging and even then I am picky. A digibook has to be around $20 or less and steelbooks have to be around $28 or less. Box sets are an entirely different animal depending on the quality of the sequels.

When you're saving money, every penny counts! Why pay more if you can get the same movie a few dollars cheaper, when all you have to do is wait? If I had purchased: Malcolm X on its release date, I would have paid $30.00, but I've waited and bought it for only $14.99 from Best Buy. Some people are impatient, who want instant gratification, and willing to pay the premium price for everything, instead of waiting for a discount. It pays to be an early adopter! I have saved hundreds of dollars throughout the years buying blu-rays because of my patience.

"Do you care if a blu ray drops from $15 to $12?"
Yes, because I am a cheap bastard. Thank you and good night. |

HELL YES!!! It matters big FREAKING time 2 me. For instance I recently (Tuesday) did a price adjustment on Robocop. Bought it at $7.99 & the next f**king week it drops to $5.99. Yes I know it's only 2 bucks, but the way I see it that's 2 bucks towards the purchase of another Blu Ray. Which is exactly what I used it for making Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows $10.99

It definitely matters to me too. I've found what I think is a good balance for me... Like Goofnut, I too have limits I spend, depending on the format, and always try to save what I can. Like with the Bestbuy Steelbooks, I had bought 4 of them when they first came out, then they dropped the price... Went back, got my price differences and bought more at the lower price....
However, I don't let trying to get a great price keep me from buying a movie forever, especially with how some things go OOP. **cough** Fright Night **cough** (I wish I had known about this site when that came out, would have jumped on that at launch, instead of trying to find a way to get it under $100) That's one of the things I LOVE this site for, it's given me a LOT of insight into all things BLU. |

It matters to me, but only by a certain threshold: I'm so stingy I'll only buy a film if it's 60% or more off MSRP. So buying a Criterion for $20 is old news, but $17? Heck yeah!
![]() Three dollars is three dollars. But that extra three dollars means I can buy coffee before work. ![]() ![]() |

Every penny I can save, I will go for. I've requested refunds of as little as $2 from Amazon when I order from them to discover a price drop before said movie even arrives in my mailbox. And if I buy a movie for $xxxx dollars, and see it for several dollars less a few months later, it bugs the HELL out of me. I bought a used copy of Sin City for about $13 maybe a year ago, and now it's selling for frigging $5.99 new at Best Buy.

i wont usually spend more than $10 on any movie...that includes boxed sets (each movie better come in under $10) unless its
A) Only available internationally B) More than 60-70% off C) A Favorite that I don't believe will drop much after release (I am really contemplating getting Masters of the Universe for $13) But at about $6 or under I'll jump on just about anything... like Ray Charles on extacy |
