The first show that pops into my head is 24. This is one movie that needs to be rated R.

Making 24 R wouldn't make much sense. With as many seasons as it had, it would be good for it to be consistent with the dialogue of the show, which is in the PG-13 range. The violence was never of the R nature either.

First thing that comes to mind is a Lost movie.

But that has more to do with me wanting more Lost than to have an R-rated Lost movie

I heard at one point they were making a Rome movie based off the series. If that is true it would most definitley be rated R.

Sadly I don't think it is going to happen anymore though.

I just finished watching the Rome series and it has become one of my favorites. It definitely deserves an R. But I think Spartacus pushes even an R! Several scenes made me cringe and I'm made of stone when it comes to this stuff! I don't want to spoil it, but one scene in particular still pops into my head once in a while.... I will leave it at this: All Male "Members" Felt It!!! (pun intended).
