Pathé are releasing Lenny Abrahamson's The Little Stranger (2018) on Monday.

Like Entertainment One's The Children Act, which I believe is also distributed by Fox, it seems that this was intended to be exclusive to HMV, which may be why I originally believed Pathé weren't going to release a UK Blu-ray. Having said that, Pathé are also releasing this in France on DVD only, as far as I can tell. In most other territories where the film has been or is set for release, the film seems to be with Universal.

The US Blu-ray from Universal has two video extras (I could have sworn that I read that these were very short, but it seems that I didn't), but the BBFC have classified an audio commentary and a very short featurette for the UK release.

Pretty interesting for such a sudden release, I missed the film in the cinemas due to the tepid reception. But I almost want to give it a chance, I love Abrahamson’s other work, I might wait for it to reduce down but from the sounds of it, it may not be in print for so long.

Just watched this, what an absolute gem of a Movie.

I was unfamiliar with the novel and knew very little about it going in, gripped from start to finish.

That ending though.....

Anyone else seen it?
