Default Ventura's Home Theatre v2.4 (updated 19 May 2013)

Fellas!

Following the arrival of our new (budget) home theatre suite, I thought I'd finally upload some shots of our setup.

Most of you here won't have heard of my speakers. Richter are an Australian brand, I'm very happy with the speakers, and I absolutely love the sub.

The whole thing has been done on a rather tight budget, all up for the projector, speaker package, avr, seating, and the player, we spent no more than about $7000AU. We're renting, so I can't "touch" the place in any way. Fortunately, the walls are just white enough so that I can get away with projecting the image straight on to it.

This is version v1.0 of my setup. We have debts to pay off, so we'll be renting for at least another year or two yet. v2.0 will come when we finally move into a place of our own.

In the meantime, I may possibly upgrade to a receiver that supports HDMI (as my Yamaha does not). Haven't decided about that yet. Suggestions are welcome if anyone has any recommendations for a decent hdmi avr that won't break the bank, but having just purchased the suite, it's going to be at least a few months until I'll be ready to buy.

Thanks for reading anyway, and let me know what you think.
