Plan 9 From Outer Space - March 6, 2012

Aside from what Deciazulado posted when setting up the page here, Plan 9 From Outer Space Blu-ray (Canada), I really can't seem to find anything else on this release or Koch Entertainment. Is anybody familiar with the quality of other Blu-rays put out by them?

I have the Koch "One-Eyed Jacks" release and it's pretty terrible. The best thing I can say about it is at least the film is in widescreen. I wouldn't expect much...sad to say.

Koch Entertainment in Germany has put out some of the worst BDs on the planet. Total disasters like Scanners and The Quiet Earth.

I agree partially with your comment. However, they did a pretty good job with their releases on BD of "The Ox-Bow Incident," "Salvador," "Yellow Sky" and "Man of the West."

Today marks Ed Wood's centenary, and I'm in the middle of an alcohol-fuelled Eddie Wood movie marathon. I'm sticking to beer and whiskey, as Wood's tipple of choice - Vodka Gimlets - is just asking for vomit-covered carpets.

The BD of Plan 9 has apparently been changing hands for about $100 of late, whereas most probably picked it up new for next nothing.
