Default If you could buy one steel which one?

Ok here is the hypothetical question of the day, its a simple one.

If someone told you that you could buy one of any steelbook ever made no matter the cost, which one would it be?

The Great Escape (1963), but it isn't released on blu-ray yet (I hope there will be a Steelbook release).

I think it will be released next year, 50th Anniversary. Best war movie ever made!

why would anyone want that many copies of Iron Man

if I could have any steelbook thats actually avaliable it would be the Moc version of Metropolis.

if your asking what steelbook id like to see, then probably The Dark crystal and laybrinth with original poster are on them..................one can but dream!!!

NOW they are. But that picture was taken back in Oct 2008. I'm pretty sure they are mostly all "distributed" by now. At the time they weren't worth $50,000.

Sucker Punch Comic-Con.
1: It's rare!
2: I love the film
3: I love the artwork and the general look of the steel

I cannot like a poster above think of a single steelbook simply because there are so many amazing movies. I think if i had to choose a steelbook for a movie i liked, it would be between quite a few, and even if it came down to steelbook artwork i'd be torn.

Thank god we don't only have to choose one

I'll get back to you though on that question, and rest assure, value won't play into my decision

The question isnt if you could only own one steelbook. The question is if someone said you can get any steel right now...what would it be.

Sucker Punch from SDCC. I had a fairly reasonable offer for it on here too (at least as reasonable as one can be considering what we're talking about) but I just can't drop $150 on a single movie. My heart says "yes!" but my brain is screaming "no!"

I only have one: scarface

I guess that's because I don't like steel books and I try to avoid them.

I have an iron pak or whatever it is from Beauty and the Beast (just cuz its one of my favorite movies and it was free and so on)so it would be one or the other.

Cant care for IM now that UK are releasing it, so without having thought deeper about it i would have to go with Resident Evil: Trilogy (Korea) or Scott Pilgrim (1st UK release)

And not to bark up the wrong tree here, but if i could pick ANY it would be Saw 5 DVD Steelbook

I've got all the ones available that I want really.

I'm getting the Play.com version of Iron Man as I prefer that design so it wouldn't be the holy grail that is the FS version.

Probably the MoC Metropolis because I like the film and haven't bought it yet. Even so, I can live without it quite easily. It's a shame it's DVD only because I like the look of the Moroder version that's coming out.

Where does the idea that the FS version being the 'holy grail' come from? Is it the price it sells for? Tbh, i think the blue banner ruins the look and the the possibly cooler thing was the close up of the mask.

I think overall though i prefer the Play.com version for the way it looks. I don't care much for the value it might reach atm, of course having such things seems cool, at least to me but i prefer having steelbooks with nice artwork. Reason i don't get some steelbooks is simply because the title wasn't in english or the back writing was foreign when the release was from an english country, otherwise the foreign writing wouldn't be an issue.
