Just picked this up today.
It's a 1982 concert at Irvine Meadows, with Brad Gillis on guitar. Mostly songs from "Blizzard of Ozz" and "Diary of a Madman". Picture quality is kinda crappy. Could see the interlacing artifacts on the screen. Overall sound quality is decent for a 30 year old live concert. But the bass guitar sounds like it's played slightly out of tune in a few songs, such as in the song "Believer". A minor quibble, but not a deal breaker, is that Brad Gillis plays some of the guitar solos somewhat different than the original Randy Rhodes versions, such as in the song "I Don't Know". Gillis' playing style sounds more straightforward than Rhodes. Best track I liked was the instrumental interludes after "Suicide Solution". |
