Default Steelbook 'quality' rating?

Hey,

Me again .

I have a question: is there such thing as a steelbook 'quality' rating?
For example: if I watch series such as Pawn Stars / Storage Wars etc. and they buy something special, let's say a rare comic book, and they go to an 'expert' to know more about the comic book and its value, the 'experts' starts talking about a lot of things. F.e. an extremely rare comic book in mint condition could be worth $50,000 - but if there are some marks / scratches on it, the value will drop by $20,000.

Why do I want to know this? Well:

- I want to build up a 100% mint steelbook/tinbox collection, but this is not realistic (or possible, unless I'm a millionaire). So I've started looking for used rare steelbooks/releases and the used ones are not allways in perfect condition.

I've just started collecting steelbooks and I have really no idea about realistic/normal prices for used products, or 'rare' releases in a not-mint/new condition.

My problem/question:

Should I buy this tinbox for 75 Euro's (so: is that a normal price for this product in this condition), or is that too much because of the dent? (It looks bigger because of the bad picture quality). The dent is the only 'defect'.

I've nothing against USED steelies personally.

Have a look at my collection in the links in my signature and see if you can spot the used ones???

Personally I have a dented BTTF tin box. Play didnt ship it every securely. I wouldnt personally pay 75 euros for a dented tin, but thats my opinion.

I got a pristine Jurassic Park tin box for £25 from bee.com in Manchester. Couldnt believe my luck.

Why is that so special? Jurassic Park tin box is still available on Amazon new, for 35 GBP and new via Marketplace traders for 27 GBP .

True but i think your intent on growing it by most of your posts, particularly for a collection full of titles worth Iron Man FS money
