This week's (7/8/12-7/14/12) TV Deal of the Week is Batman Beyond: The Complete Series.
I think you can actually purchase all 3 individual seasons for a few dollars less at the moment, but this comes with an extra 9th disc that contains additional special features not available if purchasing the individual seasons. Plus you get the packaging and booklet. I guess you can think of this as a chance to get the Complete Series extras at about the same price as you might normally find the individual seasons, which are usually less expensive. I think this may be the second lowest the price has been on the Complete Series set (I think it was $38.49 around the BF season last year). Link. I'm tempted by this, but not sure I'll buy as this month is also B&N's Criterion sale and possibly also another BB U&S. They also had Justice League: The Complete Series for about the same price last week but I held off on that as I probably want the first JL seasons on blu and didn't want to double dip. I'm surprised that no one posted that deal (I would've but I was away all week). I don't think Batman Beyond has a blu release, double dipping is not an issue (at least for now) with this set. |

Although, if this Batman Beyond complete set is also OOP and they are just selling off inventory, I may have to reconsider my decision on whether to hold off for now or purchase. I was leaning towards holding off for now due to the other sales this month that I mentioned above and the hope that it will hit around this price again towards the end of the year with the holiday sales. However, if this is OOP now, I may pick this up before inventory starts drying up. Can anyone confirm whether or not this complete series box set is now OOP? |

I was tempted to get this but decided to just take advantage of the deals out there.
Here's what I bought: BB Season 1 - Best Buy - 9.99 BB Season 2 - Amazon - 7.85 (odd low price this morning...and with Amazon Prime free shipping) BB Season 3 - Best Buy - 9.99 BB Return of the Joker (blu) - Best Buy 7.99 (in store deal) So for 35.82 plus sales tax I got all 3 seasons plus the Return of the Joker movie. I'm missing the 95 minute bonus disc but it doesn't sound that great anyway. |

I'm going to have to look into this. I've been vacillating on whether to get this or not, especially in light of the B&N Criterion sale and the upcoming BB U&S sale. But if I can get S1 and S3 for $9.99 at BB and S2 for $7.85 at Amazon (I already have Return of the Joker), I may just go that route. It'll be about $28 for S1-S3 then, and I can forgo the packaging and the extra disc for the difference in price. Plus, I was looking for things to fill another BB in store pick up order as well and this might do the trick. Thanks again, hopefully those prices are still good! |

OK, so good news and bad news:
Bad: -S3 seems to not be available for in store pick up at BB (I wanted to use this as part of a $50+ in store pick up order to get the $10 promo. -S2 is no longer $7.85 on Amazon, it's like $28, although you can get it for about half that from a market place seller. elsanto, are you sure that the $7.85 price for S2 this morning was directly from Amazon? Blu-ray.com also shows the lowest price being $12.99 for S2 Good: -S1 from BB is available for in store pick up and eligible to count towards the $50 in store pick up promo -It looks like S1 comes with movie cash, I'm assuming for TDKR. Well, I may still get S1 with movie cash for in store pick up and S3 shipped from BB and just hold off until a better price for S2 comes along. Last edited by iceman; 11-21-2012 at 08:39 PM. |

S1/S3 at Best Buy (don't trust online local store availability) - I initially ordered them online as they showed not available at my local store. I read elsewhere that Return Of The Joker blu was in store only at 7.99 so I dropped by the store anyway (it also showed unavailable at the local store online). The local store had S1/S3 and ROTJ blu so I picked them all up. I'll return S1/S3 duplicates at some point. Movie cash - S1 (not S3) has $5 movie cash for TDKR Last edited by iceman; 11-21-2012 at 08:39 PM. |

I think I'll get S1 online with in store pick up. S3 I'll pick up as well, either via free shipping or in store if they have it. I don't mind either way, the main thing is that I was hoping that it would show up as available for in store pick up to have it count towards the $50 promo. Since it doesn't, either of the other 2 options will be fine. I wonder why S2 is the lone season not on sale at that price at BB? I've set a price tracker on S2 both from Amazon as well as market place sellers. Once one drops to $10 or below I'll pick it up. Thanks for posting the deals! |
