Default Slipcovers in heat?

I'm not a slipcover fanatic, and the title of the post doesn't infer slipcover erotica but I guess it's been really hot in my apartment lately because I noticed today some of my BDs with slips have been coming apart at the spine. I'm thinking this has to do with the heat/sunlight in the room and the glue used to seal the edges but Im not sure. Anyone ever experience this?

I've seen this happen to BDs on the shelf at Best Buy during hot weather, it's always the Paramount titles though. I noticed the Mission Impossible 4 & Adventures of Tin-Tin slips falling apart. Everything else looks fine.

Your slipcovers fall apart, so you infer that it's hot on your apartment

It's been hovering around 100-110 in my blu-ray room for the past month and a bit, I know it's hot because I can't do anything in the room without breaking a sweat

All of my slipcovers remain fully intact, so unless you have them sitting in direct sunlight, it shouldn't be because of the heat (unless they use better glue in Canada )

Lol I know this is a stupid question and post. But after reading the reply and checking, the titles that this happened to are oddly enough 3 Paramount releases. The Hugo one is the worst. I thought the only way that this could happen is the heat because I haven't moved them in a while and they are glaringly different than the last time I looked @ my collection a few days ago. Weird. Thanks for the info.

Yep. Paramount uses inferior glue. Cheap bastards. I remember having to look for copies of Hugo, Tintin and M:I - Ghost Protocol where the slips weren't separating at the spine. And that was release day for two of the three.

I had the same problem with Minority Report, but I sold it anyway and put the money towards the UK steelbook.

That's right, but I think I deserved to be a capitalized Dumbo myself. I even took a pic of the rows of unglued Dumbos, but couldn't find it.
