Default got tips on how to pack your movies when you move?

Hi. So far I've only moved and had to pack DVDs. I just put them in a box or this huge luggage we have and off we go. Since then my Blu-ray collection have grown and they have nice slipcovers, in digibook style, steel cases, trilogies and collections and huge box sets like Ben Hur Ultimate Collection. I want to keep them as mint condition as possible if we move.

So I'm just wondering to those that have experience in moving with their huge Blu-ray collection and cared about their condition, got any tips? Bubble wrap, newspaper, hand carry one at a time? Feel free to share your exerience or share ideas. Sorry if this is the wrong section to post this. Thanks in advance.

Aren't you the one who individually bags each Blu-ray?

That makes sense of your behavior, then. Why didn't you just say so in the other thread? Lulz...

We moved half way round the world and are moving back again soon. All my DVD's and blu rays are in those large CD wallets that hold 300 ish discs in plastic sleeves. Never a problem with any of them

I had to move temporarily from my appartment a few yeas ago. And even though my collection only had some 150 HD DVDs and BDs I just packed them carefully and in so they couldn't move around in two big nylon "sport" bags. I was scared of scratching the cases but luckily I did not catch any new scratches on the amarays (perhaps some got but didn't see) nor the one Steelbook. I moved the bags separately and carefully in my own car.

You can use newspaper to roughly wrap them, however I personally stack all of mine inside of a couple of quilt covers nice and tight like then I have a friend help me move them to the car lol. It's 2 trips rather then endless huge boxes

I personally used the heavy duty Rubbermaid roughneck containers that way they have some protection and you can get the large bins for under 10 bucks

Bubble wrap a stack at a time and place in boxes or plastic containers.

I recently moved and I put all of my amarays in a large box and packed them tightly... all of my steels and digibooks I wrapped in bubble wrap and I found some boxes at work that they fit snugly in... I also transported them in a car rather than putting them in the moving truck so the ride was a lot less harsh... I really don't see it being a big issue unless you are moving somewhere that you have to fly to
