I just hope they fix the video quality on Book 2 and 3 to match the normal 1080p transfers of the first and last books.

And no, there sadly isn't any news about ATLA on Blu-ray. I've mentioned it to Nickelodeon Home Entertainment on their twitter account (@NickelodeonDVD) and they said they'd pass it on, but nothing so far. The DVD set is the only thing available to pre-order on Amazon. I kind of just wish they'd go the Amazon exclusive route for a Blu-ray set of ATLA, as it would be a more niche release where they wouldn't have to produce as many units, like the upcoming Hayao Miyazaki Blu-ray set.

Yea, I already bought all the individuals. I'm not in love with the show enough to buy the complete series again.

Besides, I have the first season blu-ray signed and personalized by Janet Varney; I can't get rid of it.

I would bet full MSRP that these are the same identical transfers and likely even discs from the individual seasons.

So jealous, I adore her as the voice of Korra.

Anyway, I'll probably sell off my individual seasons and get the complete series. I've been on this thing lately where I've been trying to get rid of / reduce clutter. Having an entire run of a show in one box is so much nicer than four individual cases (though Nickelodeon does get points from me for using just nice normal thin Blu-ray cases in the first place lol).

Funnily enough that I heard about Avatar getting a complete series release and Legend of Korra getting a complete series release during my annual summer watch-through of the series. I just Book One of Korra a couple days ago :P

Yesterday we posted a story that show co-creator and executive producer Bryan Konietzko had posted an image (seen again below) on his Tumblr blog that is the key artwork for The Legend of Korra - The Complete Series on DVD and Blu-ray Disc. Our contacts with Nickelodeon Home Entertainment saw that write-up, and they wanted to clear up something important, and asked us to pass it along to our readers:

The key artwork Bryan posted is for an "international" release of the title, and we've specifically been told that there is NO plan at this time for a national US release, or for a Canadian release either. Of course, the studio IS releasing the parent series, Avatar: The Last Airbender - The Complete Series, on DVD on October 6th, and we'll post the full press release about that for you in the next day or two. But for now, Korra is unfortunately not on the radar for North America just yet. If and when that changes, we'll certainly let you know!
