Thanks for creating this thread, and I'll post what I put in the other threads.

Curse of the God Dog is pure insanity. Like pure insanity. This is one of the best Japanese horror films and maybe even the best of the 70's. I watched this for the first time maybe a year ago because of Marc Walkow talking about it, and then when it was over, I was shell shocked. I really couldn't believe what I saw and it really left an impression on me. This is FANTASTIC news and is quite literally insane. It goes in so many crazy directions that you will not know what you just watched and in a GOOD way.

Think I might preorder this one. The Inferno looks interesting too, but this one looks more like my cup of tea

I like this one more due to how insane it is, but Inferno is also really good especially the last 15 minutes or so where imagery just goes off the rails. MM picked two really good 70's horror film from the Toei library.

Trailer is up for Curse of the Dog God. Man, the transfer looks nice. About 50x times better than what I saw online before.

Ok, today is the day! Mondo Macabro has Curse of the Dog Dog and Inferno on sale right now! Not only that, they will be shipping their stock in only a few weeks. I highly suggest film fans check these out so we can show our support for releases like these. The higher the sales, the more likely we’ll get more Japanese films from labels like MM and similar ones. I truly urge everyone taking a chance with these two, as you will not regret it. They are fantastic films. Here is the link to place an order.

I was about to say, I really like Inferno too. It's not quite as good as Jigoku, which I love, but it's a much better than usual remake and worth adding to one's collection. This one, though, I agree is simply wild and awesome! Glad to get this bundle!

Finished watching Curse of the Dog God and loved this release! I've never seen the film look as good as this and it was like I was watching it for the first time again.

Technical merits were all good. The film goes by pretty quickly and often times feels like a Japanese version of the Exorcist or Evil Dead, but with more dog. This one flew by. Also, despite having a small role, I really enjoyed Hideo Murota in this. He often doesn't get the respect he deserves, but felt like he nailed the emotional beats needed for his role.

It's amazing that we have this on Blu-ray. Going to watch Inferno hopefully tonight.

I picked up the SE of this release and happened to notice that the LE has a nude picture on the back that the SE does not. This was a nice perk as I always thought the SE were basically the same.
